The University of Arizona Electronic Sports Club is dedicated to providing opportunities for UA students to play, watch, and discuss competitive games. We believe that competitive gaming keeps us curious and innovative. It helps us to develop problem solving skills, and foster communities and relationships surrounding competitive games. We believe that competitive gaming keeps us focused, and it requires as much passion, dedication, and motivation to succeed in the world of competitive gaming as it does in any other sport. Our community is strong, and is growing daily.
In addition to providing opportunities for students to pay, watch and discuss competitive games, the UA eSports Club brings the Wildcat competitive spirit to electronic sports events, both online and locally through the UA eSports Team. We aspire to be the first successful university sponsored eSports Team, and promote the images and values of the University of Arizona at eSports tournaments that already reach staggering worldwide viewership. We imagine a day where prospective students will choose the University of Arizona because of their strong and committed eSports program.
But in all, the University of Arizona Electronic Sports Club seeks to foster a large competitive gaming community on campus, help to remove the stereotypes associated with gamers, give back to the community through charitable commitments, and to promote the passion, motivation, and dedication of University of Arizona gamers in such a way that it both enhances and enriches our general campus community as a whole.
